The incumbent in collaboration with Executive Medical Director (EMD) of the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), will direct, coordinate, and implement the QI Program for the Federally Qualified Health Center. UCI FQHC QIPI Director is identified and selected by the EMD. The incumbent will include the collect, manage, and analyze FQHC quality data and prepare quality reports for review. Incumbent will have practical knowledge and skills in Continuous Quality Improvement, including analysis and interpretation of data using computer-based disease registries or similar data collection systems is essential. The incumbent reports directly to the EMD. The incumbent will serve as the Anaheim Medical Director and support the family medicine division of the FQHC Family Health Center – Anaheim. This position will also have direct patient care duties.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the UC Irvine Health Affairs and work effectively with diverse stakeholders, especially physicians Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders internal and external to the organization
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to work autonomously and use independent sound judgment
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Previous experience with grant writing, reporting and administration
- Experience working in a UC and/or union environment
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing community outreach programs
- Knowledge of Orange County healthcare market
- Excellent public speaking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Knowledge of financial and accounting concepts and practices especially as relates to practice management
- Ability to accomplish results and effectively integrate functions with business plans. Consistently demonstrates and encourages a commitment to quality, customer-centeredness, productivity and continuous improvement Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning and change management principles Excellent strategic planning skills to develop long and short-range goals and objectives Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, including planning, setting priorities, systematic performance assessment, implementation based on such assessment and maintaining achieved improvement Strong analytical skills to collect and analyze operational data
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Excellent understanding of healthcare finance, financial and analytical skills and ability to develop financial models using Excel, Access or other applications

The expected annual pay range for this recruitment is $250,000.00 - $300,000.00.
