Qualifications:
Strong communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent administrative, phone and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to demonstrate good judgment, self control and tact in dealing with co-workers, staff and residents
• Experience with staffing and preparing work schedules
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant
Job Functions:
• Prepare monthly schedules which must be posted two weeks in advance
• Coordinate and records PTO, vacation and LOA requests
• Maintain current log of employee requests for special scheduling considerations
• Prepare daily staffing sheets
• Audit Nursing department timesheets
• Maintain call off list and prepare daily absentee reports for Director of Nursing
• Monitor overtime usage and inform Administrator and/or Director of Nursing when it is necessary to use overtime to staff shifts
• Analyze nursing schedule and inform Director of Nursing of department hiring needs
• Assist walk-in applicants and pass information onto the appropriate hiring personnel
• Coordinate and set up appointments of new hires with Director of Nursing
