A Home Health Staffing Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing staffing and scheduling for home health agencies. Here are some key responsibilities typically associated with this position:
- Scheduling and Coordination:
- Managing Staff Schedules: Creating and maintaining schedules for home health aides, nurses, and other staff members.
- Patient Assignments: Assigning appropriate staff to patients based on their needs and availability.
- Shift Coverage: Ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and patient visits.
- 2.Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Recruiting Field Staff: Identifying and recruiting qualified caregivers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Credentialing Process: Overseeing the onboarding process for new hires, including verifying licenses, certifications, and background checks.
- Personnel File Management: Maintaining accurate records for all staff members.
- 3.Communication and Collaboration:
- Liaison with Clinical Teams: Coordinating with clinical managers, nurses, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
- Effective Communication: Facilitating communication between staff, patients, and families.
- Problem-Solving: Addressing staffing challenges promptly and efficiently.
- 4. Compliance and Legal Knowledge:
- Understanding Employment Laws: Staying informed about state and federal employment laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and civil rights requirements.
- Ethical Practices: Upholding ethical standards in staffing decisions and interactions
- 5.Data entry into AxisCare system of all new clients, prospective clients, Caregivers and Case Managers. Staying abreast of changing guidelines, policies and procedures with Medicaid, Medicare, and Georgia department of community health. Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.
- Qualifications: Minimum of High School Education Interpersonal Skills Relationship Management Knowledge of: DCH Rules & Regulations for Personal Home Care Services CCSP, SOURCE, GAAP, ICWP and SFC (Structured Family Care) programs Skilled Nursing Program Structured Family Caregiver services
