Stationary Engineer-I - Cottage Health

Performs duties with concern to modify and maintain equipment and machinery in all GVCH Medical Center facilities. Under general supervision, ensures efficient and reliable operation of all machinery and controls, including but not limited to; steam, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and compressed gas systems. Also responds to all medical calls on the Medical Center property

LEVEL OF EDUCATION Minimum: Preferred: Supplemental courses in craft training and/or apprenticeship

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Minimum: Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's Permit

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum: Ability to read and interpret blue prints and technical specifications. Must have knowledge and understanding of preventive and proactive maintenance programs

Preferred:

YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum: 1 year of related experience OR Technical education or certificate in lieu of experience OR Demonstrated Competencies in lieu of experience.

Preferred: 4 years experience in the HVAC, light-duty electrical, and plumbing. Experience with building automation.
