Job Title: Steel Project Manager
A well-established company is seeking an experienced Steel Project Manager to oversee and deliver high-quality steel projects. This role involves managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and site logistics to ensure the timely and successful completion of steel-related construction initiatives. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in steel construction from either a general contractor or subcontractor background.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end management of steel construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and manage expectations.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet key project milestones.
- Lead site logistics, including material coordination, manpower allocation, and equipment needs to optimize efficiency.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring that all work aligns with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, resolve any issues, and manage potential project risks.
- Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and financials to leadership and stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in steel construction project management.
- Background in steel projects with experience from either a general contractor or subcontractor perspective.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and protocols.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
