We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

Position Summary: Sterile Processing Tech PT 24 Hours, Variable shift start time depending on physician schedule 7am-3:30pm or 9am-5:30pm

$4500 Sign on Bonus.

Job Description:

Prepares, installs, assembles, cleans, and sterilizes all the health care and laboratory equipment used in medical exams, surgeries, and other clinical procedures. Ensure strict adherence to sterilization processes and assure that instruments, equipment, and supplies are safe for reuse across patients daily.

Essential Functions:

• Decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of medical and surgical supplies.
• Adheres to department dress according to the Sterile Processing procedure manual.
• Operates all sterile equipment according to posted procedures.
• Knows all parameters of team and E.T.O. sterilization-aeration, chemical indicators, and biological indicators.
• Participates in department in service programs as evidenced in department in-service records.
• Follows body substance isolation in accordance with infection control manual. Performs work of equal skill, effort and responsibility as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma.
• Experience: At least 1 year of sterile processing experience is required.
• Certification/Licensure: Certified Sterile Processing technician required within 9 months of the employee's start date.
