Job Description
We are currently seeking a Stock Clerk / Driver located on-site in Chatworth, CA and can be hired as Temp to Hire or FTE.
Job Summary:
Performs administrative duties in support of activities related to inventory accuracy. Handles routine questions and problems and maintains open communication with purchasing and planning and other departments as required. Receive all material delivered to DDN from FedEx, UPS and other trucking firms. Stock all inventory into the warehouses from Receiving, MRB-Eval, and production. Logs kit picking and miscellaneous issues into the computer and files paperwork as necessary. Maintains records and generates reports for accounting and other areas. Perform cycle count to maintain a 100% inventory.
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming stock and materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using [specific software, if applicable].
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to replenish inventory as needed.
- Ensure all stock is stored properly and in compliance with safety standards.
- Perform regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Pick and pack orders for shipment according to customer requirements.
- Prepare shipping documentation and labels.
- Coordinate with production and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Operate company vehicles (forklift, van and truck) to load shelves and deliver and pick up goods in a safe and timely manner.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments and deliveries.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and delivery logs.
- Assist in preparing reports on stock levels, order status, and vehicle usage.
- Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or inventory management are a plus.
- Proven experience in stock room management and/or driving in a similar role.
- Valid [state] driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and driving.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to handle tools and equipment safely.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in both a stock room and on the road.
- May involve exposure to various weather conditions while driving.
- Adherence to safety protocols and usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Pay rate is $19.20/ hr
