Job Summary: The Stockroom Manager has overall responsibility to supervise, develop, and support systems related to work in the Stockroom Department. This includes ordering and processing new or used garment inventories, ensuring that proper documentation and processes are being followed in the department. Performs other duties as required and reports to the Operations Manager or General Manager.
Essential Functions:
-Monitor and justify garment orders, stock levels, withdrawals and invoicing, physical inventories of stock. Verify stockroom records, reports or orders, improve labor utilization, production efficiency and expenses.
-Leads, trains, and supervises the Stockroom staff.
-Responsible for overseeing all new hire training and conducts regular and ongoing training in all departments.
-Consults with sales and service management to ensure a consistent, high quality product is readily available.
-Responsible for execution of company production policies and procedures. -Responsible for setting, monitoring, and ensuring that standards for production, quality, housekeeping and safety are met.
-Responsible for creating and adherence to stock budgets, as well as hiring, discipline and employee relations.
-Follow written and verbal instructions, attend meetings and perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.
Additional Functions:
-Work with and support other branch personnel as required by supervisor.
Qualifications:
-Have a minimum of two years of business management experience in a production environment with strong supervisory and management skills. Included in that experience should be some inventory control, receiving, storage, replenishment, and disposition.
-Good organizational skills and excellent troubleshooting skills and problem solving.
-Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.
-Good verbal and written communication skills in English, ability to comprehend and follow direction, as well as good time management skills and being a team player.
-Recognize colors, sizes and types of product and count, add and subtract accurately.
Education: High School graduation or similar experience.
Travel Requirements: Occasionally, to visit customers or possibly to attend training meetings.
Typical Environmental Conditions: Production areas of a typical industrial laundry facility which includes variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint and dust.
Physical Requirements: Physical Demands/Requirements during shift – standing, sitting, walking, stooping, grasping, lifting, pushing, pulling, moving loaded carts weighting several hundred pounds.
