We are seeking a seasoned Account Executive to focus on our Real Time Awareness Product suite (Fusus and Air) and sell to new and established Department of Corrections facilities (City and County).

What You'll Do
As an Corrections Overlay Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in selling RTA products and services to Department of Corrections facilities. This position involves external fieldwork and requires a deep technical understanding of our product solutions, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external).
Location
Remote in the US, based in the West Region (WA, CA, CO, AZ), near a major airport.
Your Impact
You will work closely with the broader Axon sales team to articulate complex solutions, engage with customers, and drive sales of RTA products. Your efforts will help enhance public safety and build a better and safer future for our communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Sales Planning: Develop and execute a regional sales plan that includes outbound prospecting, lead generation, and field sales engagement to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Lead Generation: Actively seek new sales opportunities through market research, conference participation, RFP requests, and other channels.
- Customer Engagement: Identify decision-makers among targeted leads or accounts to initiate the sales process and build strong relationships by understanding their unique needs, challenges, and long-term goals.
- Account Strategy Development: Collaborate with core sales teams to create tailored go-to-market strategies that deliver value to customers.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Accurately forecast sales, build a multi-year pipeline, keep management informed, and gather competitive intelligence.
- Sales Tracking and CRM Management: Maintain and expand the CRM (Salesforce) with prospects, accounts, and additional contacts; utilize tools to track customer activity, manage accounts, and identify new opportunities.
- Product Expertise: Develop a thorough understanding of Axon's RTA products and technology solutions; provide effective product demonstrations and training to customers via phone and web conferencing.
- Communication and Coordination: Handle changes in sales orders, communicate those changes with related departments, and fulfill requests for orders, quotations, and lead times.
- Sales Group Meetings: Attend sales group meetings to discuss sales targets, forecasts, and report on market situations.
- Industry Engagement: Attend industry conferences and regional trade shows to enhance industry expertise and network with potential clients.
- Extensive Travel: Be prepared to travel at least 60% of the time (3-4 days per week, including overnight stays) within your assigned territory
Qualifications
- Experience: 3 years in a SaaS Account Executive role, preferably with experience in technology or government sales.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent applicable experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of drones, cloud technology, and virtualization.
- Sales Skills: Proven ability to manage the end-to-end sales process, with strengths in prospecting, discovery, objection handling, closing and negotiating complex accounts.
- CRM Experience: Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
- Communication Skills: Strong organizational, written and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Customer Focus: Passionate about enhancing customer relationships and delivering exceptional service.
- Team Player: Collaborate effectively with teammates to achieve success.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

The Pay: The compensation for this role is made up of an uncapped commissions and a starting base pay between USD 73100 in the lowest geographic market and USD 117000 in the highest geographic market. On average, the national commissions target for this role is USD 250,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and geographic market demands and often a combination of all these factors.
