About the job
The Strategic Account Manager - Service will be responsible to profitably grow customer and market share with assigned Strategic Accounts for both capital and service businesses, aligned with Sales Company and Divisional strategies.
From a daily responsibility standpoint, you will:
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with key stakeholders at our key account sin the food and beverage industry.
- Work with the different AL Business Directors to identify resources and create a team to support each Strategic Account.
- Define clear lines of communication between AL stakeholders and each Strategic Account.
- Coordinate and lead business review meetings with the assigned accounts.
- Maintain customer mapping and keep AL stakeholders informed of relevant changes.
- Define the strategic direction and initiatives for the assigned accounts, building the sales plan to grow customer and market share. Keep a 1–3-year master sales plan per account.
- Assess customer needs and priorities and offer solutions using AL technology and services.
- Meet with customers to promote technologies, services, business models and service agreements.
- Work closely with Capital and Service sales to facilitate the offering of service early in the customer journey, securing the service business from new installed base.
- Lead contract negotiation and execution.
- Support marketing activities in conjunction with the Demand Generation team.
What you know
You have a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or business and:
- 5 years of direct sales, business development or product management experience; experience as Key Account or Strategic Account Manager preferred.
- Experience in capital and/or service OEM sales desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate activities between departments
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job, background, skills, and experience to get it right. The base salary for this role is typically $120,000 – $150,000 base.
