The Structural Engineer II will take a leading role in managing small projects or supporting the lead engineer on various tasks. Skills
- Proficient in SAP2000, RAM, TEDDS or other structural design software
- Experience with Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of design codes for industrial building structures (e.g., ASCE-7, IBC, AISC, ACI)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Responsibilities
- Perform discipline lead engineer role on small projects
- Calculate environmental loads and estimate equipment loads
- Model and analyze 3D structures subjected to static and dynamic loads
- Perform structural design calculations for foundations and retaining structures
- Direct designers in the development of 3D Revit models and construction drawings
- Review drawings and calculations for accuracy and compliance
- Assist in field inspections and troubleshooting as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural design of steel and concrete structures
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification in the US
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Heavy experience in steel and concrete structures
- Knowledge of applicable design codes for industrial structures
