Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking a highly motivated **Structural Engineering Intern/Co-Op** to join the AECOM team in our **Mechanicsburg, PA** office. _This position is expected to begin between January and June 2025._ **The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:** + Internships and Co-Ops are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. + Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study. + Interns perform assignments related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation, and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary structures. + Enthusiastic individuals eager to face new challenges and take on personal responsibilities are best qualified to meet the demands of this work. An intern is expected to be able to apply technical training to perform basic calculations, work well in a team setting, and be willing to work diligently to learn new skills. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering with the intent to continue after the internship unless graduating. + Candidates must have completed one year of study in their program. **Preferred Qualifications** + Proficient in MS Office Suite. + Excellent communication skills. + Ability to manage time and deadlines, keep track of steps, and prioritize tasks. + Knowledge of industry-standard software (examples include MicroStation, AutoCAD, STAAD, and MathCad). **Additional Information** + Relocation assistance is not available for this position. + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. + This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in-office work in **Mechanicsburg, PA.** The selected candidate must be available to work in **Mechanicsburg, PA** on a scheduled basis. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
