Job Description:

The Structural Fitter Welder will be responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as heat exchangers. Responsibilities include:

• Selecting assembly plans and fitting components together manually or using overhead jib cranes.
• Performing simple mathematics to determine part dimensions accurately.
• Setting up welding machines and welding guns, including assembling and disassembling welding tips and liners.
• Feeding wire and adjusting voltage using arc or gas shielded arc welding equipment.
• Proficiently reading blueprints and conducting first article inspections to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Collaborating with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 1+ years of welding experience, with a strong focus on structural fitting.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques, particularly MIG and flux core.
• Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and adjustments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
• Effective communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
