JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic III
LOCATION: Tulsa, OK
PAY RATE: $28.75 per hour

Summary:
Assemble and fit detail parts and structures while performing varied drilling and riveting operations, ensuring parts and assemblies meet requirements.
Demonstrate the ability to transition to new tasks with minimal short-term impact on established goals and schedules.
Rivet structural members, assemblies, and parts using necessary tools (e.g., portable riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets).
Remove fasteners without damaging structures.
Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations, type, size, and hole pattern for rivets.
Verify all work to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
Instruct and assist team members in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders; develop methods and shop aids to resolve production installation difficulties and problems.
Maintain and utilize all logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs).
Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
Make repairs according to Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Requests (MRR), and Production Change Orders (PCO), and perform necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company’s 5S & Lean Initiative Program, and comply with all safety regulations.
Work effectively with little or no supervision.
Support Lean Activities and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Three (3) years of related structural assembly experience.
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
Q-stamp preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math.
Proficient in reading and comprehending basic documents and instructions.
Strong personal skills, including an aptitude for hands-on craftwork, a professional attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively and meet demanding schedules.
Demonstrated good housekeeping and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Skilled in close-tolerance work with knowledge of using special tools and equipment.
Capable of using mathematical formulas to solve dimensional problems involving fractions, decimal fractions, and whole numbers.
Ability to work with composite resins and materials.
Must be able to work any shift.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to climb ladders, stands, and stairs, and work in small spaces or restricted areas.
