Job Summary
The Student Assistant will greet and provide a welcoming environment to students, staff, faculty, and visitors while performing administrative duties. This role supports the daily operations of the Dream Center by managing the front desk activities, assisting with inquires, and performing a variety of tasks to ensure a welcoming and efficient office environment.
Responsibilities
* Greet and assist students, staff, faculty, and visitors with inquires, providing accurate information about services, events, and resources.
* Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and in-person queries to the appropriate staff or department.
* Maintain office supplies and ensure the front desk are remains organized and professional.
* Help coordinate and prepare materials for events, tabling, workshops, or meetings.
* Provide administrative support for projects or programs assigned by supervisors.
* Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain compliance with university policies.
* Perform additional tasks and duties as required by the office or department.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks.
* Have an interest in immigration issues and/or serving the immigrant community and be knowledgeable about undocumented students experiences, preferred.
* Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Work-Study eligible
