Position Overview
The Coordinator for Academic Outreach oversees all outreach efforts of the Learning Center, collaborating with departments across campus.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field and two years' of student services, student affairs,counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education,training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Excellent public speaking skills with experience in conducting training workshops.
* Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to student populations.
* Experience in networking across departments and programs.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties:
- Design, coordinate, and implement academic rebound programs including Summer Scholars.
- Work with academic departments to identify additional academic rebound opportunities.
- Coordinates academic outreach efforts campus-wide, including but limited to orientation, first flight, and Don’t Cancel That Class.
- Coordinates online programming allowing for multi-modality access to resources.
- Serves as the center’s liaison to UNT satellite campuses in Frisco, Gainesville, and McKinney.
- Develops, organizes, and distributes online learning resources.
- Collaborates with faculty, staff, and departments across campus to create working relationships that promote and identify Learning Center outreach opportunities.
- Assists in the development and implementation of assessments, evaluations, and research activities related to students’ success in learning.
- Present at outreach events and coordinates others assisting.
- Assists with the development, revision, and distribution of marketing, educational, and informational publications and materials related to the Learning Center.
- Participates in university, division, and departmental committees and activities.
- Presents outreach and programs that require some evening and weekend work and travel within the metroplex.
- Performs related duties as assigned by the Assistant Director or Director.

8-5 M-F, Some nights and weekends, Remote opportunities
