WPVI serves close to 7 million people 2+ who reside in The Delaware Valley, an area covering Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware. 6ABC- WPVI-TV Philadelphia is looking for a Part-Time Studio Technician within the programming department! The Studio Technician will support the daily production of news and other content across all platforms for WPVI-TV. This position is considered on-site, which means the employee will work from a Company-designated location on an ongoing basis.
What You Will Do:
+ Run teleprompter for all live and recorded newscasts, in-studio shoots, sports shows, etc.
+ Cue talent for all live and recorded newscasts, in-studio shoots, sports shows, etc.
+ Handle studio lights and microphones
+ Assist with sets and props
+ Provide support in the field for live events, parades, on-location shows, etc.
+ Additional studio duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Skills:
+ At least 1 year of experience working on Television studio newscasts and studio/remote production crews
+ Must be able to work a minimum of 3 days a week
+ Must be willing to work various shifts as needed, including early morning, overnight, weekends and holidays
+ Ability to multitask, prioritize & handle tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced newsroom environment
+ A valid driver’s license required to drive company-assigned vehicles
Preferred Qualifications:
+ A broad understanding of modern media consumption beyond broadcast to potentially contribute to 6abc’s production and distribution on streaming, web, and other digital platforms.
Required Education:
+ High School diploma or equivalent experience
