Substation Project Manager - Johnson Service Group

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for a Substation Project Design Manager in our client’s Tulsa, OK office.  This position is open due to someone being promoted.  Relocation provided.

Requirements:

• Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years’ project engineering experience.
• 2+ years demonstrated project management and leadership experience
• Advanced knowledge of power engineering principles, applicable codes, standards and design tools, and the ability to direct and oversee multiple technical disciplines in completion of substation projects.
• PE and/or PE strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities:

• Background in conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new, upgraded and expanded substations.
• Oversee project teams of project and design engineers, designers, drafters and support staff.
• Scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, executing, monitoring and reporting of substation projects and proposals.
• Material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support through energization.
• Execute quality control procedure, ensuring best-in class project execution and delivery. Interact with and coordinate subject matter expert discipline
• to ensure successful execution of projects.
• Serve as primary interface with clients and other project stakeholders.
