Supervising Chef/ Food Services Manager - Center Point - DAAC

• Full-time, Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week.
• Part-time, late afternoon through early evening, Monday - Friday.

• Plan, prepare, and cook meals for approximately 50 residents and staff.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff and residents in food preparation and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, equipment, and dining area.
• Inspect daily clean-up and weekly deep cleaning activities.
• Prepare modified diet items as needed.

• Develop weekly menus based on nutritional guidelines and budget constraints.
• Incorporate fresh produce from local sources into menu planning.
• Minimize food waste and optimize resource utilization.

• Supervise kitchen staff and residents, providing guidance and support.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and residents.
• Train staff and residents on food safety, preparation, and presentation.

• Collaborate with treatment team to accommodate dietary needs.
• Maintain open communication with staff, residents, and management.
• Respond promptly to requests and concerns.

• Assist Program Director/Manager in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring a certified cook for the kitchen.
• Participate in the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition.

• 2+ years of experience in food service management or related field.
• Knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Current food safety certification
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

• Ability to maintain a clear, understandable speaking voice.
• Accurate and clear vision and hearing.
• Ability to remain standing for extended periods.
• Sufficient digital manipulation skills to utilize a computer keyboard.
• Ability to function effectively in a busy working environment.
