About the Job
The County of San Mateo San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC) is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Supervising Pharmacist. The Supervising Pharmacist, under the direction of the Clinical Services Manager – Pharmacy, will oversee staff, day-to-day operations, and regulatory concerns in the Outpatient and Long-Term Care Pharmacies of SMMC. The successful hire will be responsible for supervising, training, scheduling, and evaluating assigned staff according to SMMC and County policies. They will help manage Outpatient and Long-Term Care Pharmacy inventory, medication preparation and distribution, and help develop and maintain efficient pharmacy workflows. They will ensure regulatory compliance with the Joint Commission, Board of Pharmacy, and California Department of Public Health standards. They will also serve as pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) for Long Term Care Pharmacy. They will need to work with various hospital departments and professionals to solve problems and ensure quality patient care. They will also need to complete any other reports and tasks to meet department needs. The current vacancy is a full-time, regular position.
