Supervisor, Banquet Set Up - Resorts World Las Vegas

Summary Statement:

The Banquets Set up Supervisor is responsible for the set-up, servicing and breakdown of all meetings and events.

Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:

• Ensure all venues are well-maintained and cleaned prior to and after an event.
• Most supervisor report to the manager and may complete daily responsibilities while the Manager handles higher level work items.
• When employees start on their teams, Supervisors may take time to meet and train them on their responsibilities and tasks. Employees may use their supervisor as a primary source to go to with any questions.
• Boosting team energy levels. Overcoming challenges for employees.
• Display proper care, movement, and storage of all equipment such as tables, chairs, and catering equipment (rolling tables).
• Assist with inventory control of catering equipment and furniture.
• Provide prompt, courteous service to banquet members and guests while maintaining a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
• Maintain safe sanitary conditions in all banquet service areas and for all banquet services equipment.
• Safely drive and maintain vehicles used for transporting event materials.
• Demonstrate full knowledge of banquet areas and keep banquet service areas properly stocked.
• Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
• Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications: – Includes but is not limited to:

• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Polished appearance and demeanor
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to lead a team successfully.
• Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.

Preferred: 

• Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• At least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a banquet set up supervisor in a similar or related field.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
