Overview:
Summary Statement:
The Banquets Set up Supervisor is responsible for the set-up, servicing and breakdown of all meetings and events.
Job Duties:Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:
- Ensure all venues are well-maintained and cleaned prior to and after an event.
- Most supervisor report to the manager and may complete daily responsibilities while the Manager handles higher level work items.
- When employees start on their teams, Supervisors may take time to meet and train them on their responsibilities and tasks. Employees may use their supervisor as a primary source to go to with any questions.
- Boosting team energy levels. Overcoming challenges for employees.
- Display proper care, movement, and storage of all equipment such as tables, chairs, and catering equipment (rolling tables).
- Assist with inventory control of catering equipment and furniture.
- Provide prompt, courteous service to banquet members and guests while maintaining a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
- Maintain safe sanitary conditions in all banquet service areas and for all banquet services equipment.
- Safely drive and maintain vehicles used for transporting event materials.
- Demonstrate full knowledge of banquet areas and keep banquet service areas properly stocked.
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Qualifications: – Includes but is not limited to:
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lead a team successfully.
- Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- At least 21 years of age.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a banquet set up supervisor in a similar or related field.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
