Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Respiratory Department is a committed, caring group of colleagues. We are seeking a Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy. We will provide you the tools and resources you need to succeed in our organization. As our new Supervisor you will provide supervision for all aspects of the Respiratory Care Services and will be responsible for shift operations of the Respiratory Department. We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity.

Your duties and responsibilities may include:

• You will provide leadership and is responsible for the delivery of safe, quality, patient care for assigned departments and staff on a daily basis
• You will ensure department's standard of practice, policies and procedures meet legal, and all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
• You will conduct respiratory assessments of patient as indicated within scope of practice.
• You will also administer medications to the respiratory system, and performs various clinical modalities as prescribed by physician order, in accordance with current practice. 

Requirements:

• Completion of a two year AMA approved respiratory care program; (Associates Degree or the equivalent); Bachelor Degree preferred
• Minimum of five years in clinical respiratory therapy in acute hospital environment. One-year supervisory experience required.
• Current Florida license as RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Current PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required

 What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Bachelors Degree
• State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician, or RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP)

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Bachelors Degree
• State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician, or RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP)
