DutiesThis position is located under the Office of Intelligence Operations, Criminal Intelligence Division, Field Intelligence Systems Branch
in Washington, District of Columbia.The primary purpose of this position is to manage requirements for ATF's intelligence and information systems, their acquisition, development, and enhancements
These systems, software, and applications facilitate the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information that pertains to ATF's core investigative mission and serves as the liaison between the customers and the technical support team to accomplish the tasks and projects of OIO
Works with the customer to identify the needs and requirements of ATF, identify the potential software solutions, works with OM and OST to acquire them, and then manages the training and application administration for the acquired systems
Provide quality information systems assistance to ATF personnel enabling their enforcement of the Bureau's mission and to support all divisions in the OIO.As a Supervisory Program Analyst (Branch Chief), GS-0343-14, your typical work assignments will include:Exercise full supervisory authority over branch personnel.Apply knowledge of administrative principles and have a good understanding of the Department of Justice, Office of Management and Budget, and Congressional procedures relative to fiscal budget matters.Advise the deputy or division chief on issues pertaining to the branch and participates in the Division's budget formulation process.Develops and implements policies, practices, and procedures.Conducts short- and long-range planning for overall branch/division goals and objectives in response to changes in funding levels, policy, or legislation pertaining to branch/division programs and projects.Plans and directs studies and surveys to evaluate Branch programs and ensure efficiency and economy of operations.Advises the deputy or division chief on significant issues/matters pertaining to branch/division programs projects, e.g., the impact of new technology, and new initiatives, etc.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentThe qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of the announcement.MOBILITY PLAN: New employees hired pursuant to this vacancy announcement must sign a mobility agreement
