We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architect to join our Supply chain solutions team.  The BTS Supply chain team focuses on multiple technologies supporting Global supply chain, distribution , logistics and transportation, product traceability. It serves as a hub of expertise, best practices, and innovation

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Spearheading the strategic planning and architectural design of the various solutions supporting Supply chain processes.
• Reviewing integration designs for compliance with established architectural guidelines and authorizing exemptions for guideline deviations to accommodate project-specific requirements.
• Oversee the assessment of the evolving technology landscape such as ERP, API, AI, GenAI, Data science, crafting strategic recommendations for their adoption within AbbVie's BTS ecosystem.​
• Generating new technological proposals and leading those efforts. Anticipating and critically evaluating technological advances or competitive threats and responding with appropriate new strategies.
• Demonstrating deep knowledge of the ERP, Cloud (ex.AWS) platform and utilizes this knowledge in the rapid advancement of agile, impactful, and cost-effective solutions.
• Understanding and adhering to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
• Evaluates application system needs across multiple systems and develops corresponding application and logical data architectures and standards.
• Provides strategic consultancy support to clients, Senior Application Technical Specialists and other technical architects in all aspects of enabling technologies to meet business needs. Provides expertise on application architecture design or improvement. Considers the performance impact of the architecture.
• Performs technical oversight of implementation projects to assure alignment with architecture and technology standards. Collaborates with the hardware, network and database architects in application design and implementation.
• Works closely with product vendors ensuring strategic and architectural fit, and ability of product to scale in order to meet AbbVie requirements.

What makes you a strong candidate for this role:

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years experience; Master's Degree with 7 years experience; PhD with 3 years experience.
• Domain understanding of supply chain and related business processes
• Experience working in and leading the design of architectures for ERP, MRP, WMS, and other Fulfillment solutions.
• Experience in leading the implementation of Inventory Management, Fulfillment, Logistics, Ecommerce, and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership in designing and building cloud applications using cloud technologies (PaaS, IaaS), database query languages, and web programming languages under general direction.

Beneficial:

• Solution Architecture Professional Certification (e.g., IASA CITA-F, CITA-A or higher), other architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF 9 certification, SEI).
• SAP ERP, AI, AWS certification.
• Proficient in-service oriented architecture (SOA), messaging, object-oriented programming concepts, multi-tiered distributed component-based technology, legacy infrastructure platforms and technologies, and enterprise service bus.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with enterprise data strategy and governance.
