SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for developing vendor cost improvement solutions which require constant use of ingenuity and innovation. This position supports end to end 3PL and Vendor cost optimization processes through assigned projects and analytics. You will work hand in hand with professionals that will ensure you succeed in your role. This position is based in our Corporate headquarters in Doral - Miami, Florida and will support our Vendors and 3PLs across Canada, Mexico and the USA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop 3PL and Vendor cost improvement solutions across PEI’s network of partners
Perform 3PL and Vendor Cost Accounting/coding, Invoice Reconciliation, Rate/Data Validations & Verification, Cost research and communication/alignment of rates and invoices with our partners, including analysis of trends/historicals and expected rate increases
Work with 3PL and Vendors with their accounting teams and PEI’s internal Accounts Payable team to ensure coding accuracy and on-time payments are completed as well as engage in constant communication as per reconciliations/research/invoice inaccuracies
Approve 3PL and Supplies vendor invoices, post completing coding, validation, & verification processes
Gather and analyze data to develop insights used for the cost optimization of our 3PLs and Supplies Vendors
Identify underperforming areas from analyzing costs with our 3PLs and Supplies Vendors. Present proposed solutions and recommendations to improve, automating where possible
Drive 3PL and Vendor Cost performance through Cost KPIs, Prepare Cost reports or dashboards to provide reliable real time activity data to upper management
Monitor Vendors and Suppliers for contract compliance. May assist in the negotiation of contracts or service arrangements. Review and update vendor contracts
Analyze cost trends and evaluate/analyze data for our 3PLs and Supplies Vendors
Analyze financial reports, market research and operating procedures - Strategize ideas to improve overall business operations and meet with company executives and other stakeholders to provide suggestions in optimization and automation of financial/cost reports
Document company SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) related to costs across PEI network of partners (3PLs and Supplies Vendors) as well as implement continuous improvement strategies & automation
Conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) of all cost/price/rate issues. Learn and provides Lean Six Sigma Analysis on 3PL and Vendor cost accounting processes as well as rate/price discrepancies
Supports inventory management team by monitoring inventory in stock that has low turnover on the 3PLs warehouses. Also support our inventory management team with the 3PL cycle count programs
Conducts benchmarking analysis of other 3 PLs in the region by comparing best practices on cost management and efficiencies as well as evaluating and researching market rates
Perform/Support RFQ/RFI initiatives across the organization
Work/support with finance/accounting on the new vendor onboarding process
Work/support with our Logistics & Imports departments for inbound/outbound into/out-of our 3PLs from a costing perspective
Provides exceptional support to external and internal customers as well as team members

Computer skills in Google Apps, Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel/Spreadsheet analytics)
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the supply chain field

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work areas is a mix of distribution center type environment as well as office, conference rooms, computers, technology environment
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years experience in or combination of Business, Supply Chain, Operations type roles
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering (Preferred), Operations Management, Supply Chain, Finance or related field. Industrial Engineering background a plus
3PL and Vendor Management/Supply Chain experience required
Business Intelligence and KPI performance experience a plus
