Overview

This position will coordinate and optimizing flow of information throughout the supply chain to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. Supply Chain planners will analyze, create, and execute demand forecast while working closely with supply, manufacturing, and sales departments to align supply chain activities with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Demand planning –
- Utilize John Galt demand software to analyze historical sales and customer/account data to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with sales leadership and NAE’s to gather input for demand planning.
- Execute monthly aligned sales, operations, and finance forecast in John Galt.
- Inventory management –
- Collaborate with operations inventory and manufacturing material managers by reviewing demand forecast to support pre-planning monthly fabric purchases.
- Use analysis to recommend discontinuing poor selling master items.
- Supply Planning –
- Coordinating with manufacturing and supply teams to align manufacturing schedules with demand forecasts, ensuring products are available when needed.
- Collaborating with manufacturing team to align on fabric supplier forecasts.
- Support monthly sales and operations planning (S&OP) –
- Analyze historical monthly NAE/account sales data.
- Prepare for monthly meetings by developing recommended sales changes.
- Organize and recap demand forecast data including forecast accuracy, sales by industry, and proposed new business opportunities (changes, new).
- Data analysis –
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics and prepare daily/monthly and ad hoc recaps for operations leaders as needed.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making.
- Cross-functional collaboration –
- Collaborate with cross company departments including supply, manufacturing, sales, product design, and distribution to ensure alignment of supply chain activities and overall business objectives.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4+ yrs. experience in Sales Planning, Production, Finance, or Analytical role.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Ability to function in a team environment & work independently.
- Experience with an ERP system.
- Prior forecasting/demand planning experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Work Environment/Physical Demands: This is an office environment with occasional assisting in warehouse.
