As a Supported Employment Assistant Manager, you'll be actively working with MVA Employment Consultants, directly supporting the Employment Manager and working side-by-side with adults experiencing disabilities who are eager to achieve their employment goals. Forget the desk - this is a hands-on position where you'll spend much of your time active in the field, helping job seekers discover their potential, build vital skills, and connect with employers who believe in inclusive opportunities while helping our team do the same. The challenge and perk of this position is its flexibility. You are an active participant in structuring your day to meet business, employer, and job seeker goals. While documentation skills are still essential, on average, you will spend just a small part of your day on administrative work and supporting staff members. The rest of your time in the field with job seekers or actively nurturing employer relationships.

PIVOT!- Flexibility in your daily schedule, priorities, and plan of attack is crucial to finding your groove here. One day, you may be in muck boots working at a nursery, and the next, you will be in business dress, taking a job seeker to their first interview. Every day is different!
How To Be A Successful Assistant Manager
- Build professional connections with Yamhill County's various business owners and managers, from business suits to blue jeans.
- Be tenacious in finding, molding, and creating new employment opportunities.
- Ensure that employees are empowered and supported within their respective areas of responsibility to be creative and innovative in meeting job seekers' needs.
- Be a Community Liaison, troubleshooting potential obstacles and developing solutions.
- Working with other supporters to help facilitate long-term successful community engagement and skill-building.
- Apply patience in establishing relationships and encouraging clients toward their goals.
- Complete progress reports and miscellaneous documentation as needed.
- Partner with your team to ensure the best possible outcomes for those supported, share caseloads, and provide any needed training and support.
- BONUS: Fluency in English/Spanish speaking, reading, writing, and translating would help expand our services to those whose primary language is Spanish.
Wage
Pay Grade 30, starting at $24.50 an hour, non-exempt eligible for overtime pay. Employees directly supporting clients and work hours after 8:00 pm and before 6:00 am on weekdays and/or for hours worked at any time on Saturday and Sunday will receive a 15% shift differential for those work hours.
