Assumes a leadership role, is a resource for others on current educational theory, professional development, and evidence-based practice. Directs and assists assigned personnel with their responsibilities and builds teamwork through leadership, guidance and direction toward a common goal.
Demonstrates motivation, creativity, and flexibility; and serves as resource person and role model to other staff. Collaborates with administration and department directors/managers on the development of programs to meet those needs. Assures that staff educational programs promote and support professional development and those patient/family educational programs promote and support hospital and community health education activities. Leads and teaches others, and through positive communication skills, actively supports a collaborative environment in the promotion of health, wellness and education for positive patient outcomes.
Education
BSN degree required and Master's Degree preferred
Licenses / Certifications
Current CA RN license, CNOR preferred
Experience
Clinical Perioperative Registered Nurse Expert. Demonstrated teaching and program development skills. Knowledge of supervisory practices, techniques, and methods for staff development.
Three (3) years clinical/teaching./leadership experience for operating room
