Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Location: Norman, Oklahoma

Shift: 10-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

Weekend Requirements: 1 full weekend of call per month

On Call Requirements: 5-7 days per month

Salary Range: $17.39/hour - $28.40/hour (dependent on previous work experience)

Differentials: Shift and Weekend Differentials available

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Scrub Tech to join our surgical services department. In this role, you will ensure a sterile environment in the Operating Room and assist surgeons during various operative procedures. You will play a critical role in maintaining patient safety and aseptic techniques while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate teamwork to maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients.
• Assist the surgeon during operative procedures, ensuring that all instruments and supplies are available and properly arranged.
• Orient new Scrub Techs to all surgical areas through extensive training with a dedicated preceptor.
• Maintain knowledge of various surgical procedures, including general, robotics, neuro, plastics, colorectal, and urology.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or five (5) consecutive years of training/experience as a Surgical Tech (required).
• Recent clinical experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Surgical Tech (required).
• LPN with one (1) year of surgical tech experience is preferred.
• National Certification in Surgical Technology is highly preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Current Oklahoma LPN license, if applicable (required).
