# Project Overview:
Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. Bechtel will design and build Phase 1 of the Ohio One project, a total of 2.5 million square feet, including 600,000 square feet of cleanrooms. Construction will require as much steel as eight Eiffel Towers and as much concrete as the tallest skyscrapers.
Bechtel will strengthen future economic development in the region by partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline.

# Job Summary:
Assigned to the Construction Survey organization as the Program Coordinator for the Craft Layout Program (PC-CLP), is responsible for leading and administering the Craft Layout Program which empowers select craft personnel to perform their own layout for civil, structural, mechanical, and piping installations in their assigned work area. The PC-CLP reports directly to the Project Survey Manager (PSM). The PC-CLP works closely with the Area Lead Surveyors (ALS) and Responsible Superintendents (RS) to implement and support the Craft Layout Program.
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Support the survey team’s implementation of the project safety, quality, and environmental programs
+ Responsible for coordinating with the Corporate Survey Manager (CSM) and the PSM regarding implementing the correct strategy and proper methodology for the Craft Layout Program
+ Lead, implement, and administer the Craft Layout Program
+ Responsible for the overall quality and integrity of the project’s Craft Layout Program
+ Responsible for the implementation and administration of the Layout Work Request Program
+ Leads and supervises the Craft Layout Program’s Office Surveyor to ensure that:
+ The office technical support provided to the craft layout teams including processing of survey data and preparation of deliverables utilizes survey industry best practices
+ Craft Layout’s office calculations execution supports the project’s construction schedule
+ The layout data being provided to the craft layout teams is the correct type and of the highest quality for the scope of work being performed
+ All field work being performed by the craft layout teams is reviewed and approved prior to being utilized and the supporting documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
+ Responsible for coordinating the scheduled craft layout work with the Responsible Superintendent (RS) and the project survey team, including the Area Lead Surveyors
+ Responsible for coordinating with the project survey team regarding the survey control points required in the given areas the craft layout teams are, or will be working at including submitting SWR’s requesting said control in a timely manner
+ Participating in Daily Survey Plan of the Day (POD) meeting
+ Train and support Superintendents and other project surveyors on how to implement and support the Craft Layout Program
# Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience
+ Knowledge of Bechtel’s “Zero Incidents” safety program. Must have a strong drive toward Safety, both on and off the job, a commitment to seeing everyone go home each day as well and healthy as they came to work that day
+ Knowledge of Bechtel quality standards. Must have a solid record of successful project completion with little to zero rework
+ Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to heavy industrial construction layout
+ Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment, able to formulate a working relationship with survey team members, other departments, and contractors
+ Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
+ Excellent problem-solving ability
+ Demonstrated proficiency with Trimble RTP600, RI and/or Robotic Total Station(s)
+ Demonstrated proficiency with Trimble Field Link and/or Access software, including proficiency with construction layout and generating reports
+ Demonstrated proficiency with transferring data to and from field data controllers
+ General awareness of environmental laws
+ Awareness of government compliance standards
+ Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education
+ Must be physically capable to participate in project walkdowns, which may require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing in or maneuvering around very small and/or confined spaces, and lifting up to 40lbs without assistance.
+ This project may have multiple work schedules that are subject to change and may require employees to work overtime, weekends and/or night shift when a business need arises
