Role Overview: Land Survey Crew Chief

As a Land Survey Crew Chief at Mach IV Engineering, you will play a vital role in our surveying operations, overseeing survey crews and ensuring accurate and efficient field data collection. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of projects, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality services to our clients. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supervising survey crews in field operations, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
• Managing survey equipment, instruments, and resources to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
• Conducting quality control checks on field data, measurements, and survey calculations.
• Collaborating with project managers and other team members to develop survey strategies and methodologies.
• Assisting in the preparation of survey reports, drawings, and legal descriptions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficiency in land surveying techniques, equipment, and software (e.g., Total Stations, GPS, AutoCAD).
• Extensive knowledge of boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred but not required.
• 4 years of survey / field experience
• Must have a valid drivers license in the state of Wisconsin
