Role Description: Will work as a team member on infrastructure management and support. The role focuses on servers and VMware. Will work as a team member to design, deploy, oversee, and support a 55 site infrastructure. This can include but is not limited to installing hardware and software, deploying application infrastructure, and supporting cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
What you will be responsible for:
+ Develop and maintain the monitoring and observability strategy, standards, and best practices for the IT organization.
+ Design, deploy, and manage our New Relic platform and other monitoring solutions
+ Collect, analyze, and visualize the metrics, logs, traces, and events from the IT infrastructure and applications for complete end to end observability.
+ Create and maintain the dashboards, alerts, and reports for the IT operations, development, and security teams.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve the issues related to the monitoring and observability solutions.
+ Provide guidance and support to the IT teams on how to use the monitoring and observability solutions effectively.
+ Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in the monitoring and observability domain.
Qualifications:
What you will need to be successful in this role:
+ Proven experience in an IT Monitoring and Observability role
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
+ At least 3 years of experience in IT monitoring and observability administration, engineering, or support.
+ Strong knowledge and experience with New Relic monitoring and observability tools and platform
+ Strong knowledge and experience with various IT infrastructure and application technologies, such as Linux, Windows, Azure, network, database, web, etc.
+ Strong knowledge and experience with scripting and automation tools, such as Python, Bash, Ansible, etc.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
+ Certifications in IT monitoring and observability tools and platforms are preferred
