System Engineer 2 - Gormat

Job Description: Performs a variety of complex project tasks applied to specialized technology problems. Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems or technology problems. Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of work flow, organization, and planning. Directs and assists system engineers in the application of system engineering principles to the solution of secure systems design problems.

Qualifications:

• Five (5) to twelve (12) years-experience as a cyber/security focused systems engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional System Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Clearance: CCA acceptable, but must be eligible for TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Poly

Requisition-Specific Requirements:

• Knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, Routers, Firewalls, Network Protocols
• Knowledge of security and network operations and monitoring, vulnerability analysis
• Knowledge of PKI, data encryption, and Key management
• Experience with enterprise security architecture, including designing, building, and maintaining enterprise IT systems
• Experience with security requirements, security assessments and security recommendations using industry standards as reference models
• Experience with compliance and adherence to IT, User, Security Standards/Policies
• Knowledge in the best practices of Cybersecurity and Threat-based Cybersecurity frameworks and the latest trends
• Knowledge of Zero Trust preferred

Specialty Skillsets:

• Network Engineer (with strong system admin) skills. Specific expertise with Microsoft Active Directory admin skills. Needs to know SQL server and System Configuration Center Manager (SCCM) (management and deployment). Will be performing in an environment that embodies Zero Trust principles.
