Systems Administrator
Location: Amarillo, TX (a combination of on-site and off-site at Pantex)
Salary Range: $70,000 - $98,000 per year
Clearance: Active DOE Q or L Clearance
Duration: 12 months period with 1 year option
KeyLogic is searching for a Systems Administrator for a DOE Cyber Program at Pantex in Amarillo, TX. As the cornerstone of the nation’s Nuclear Security Enterprise, Pantex applies unique capabilities to ensure the effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear stockpile in support of the Nation’s nuclear deterrent.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware/software and administering system accounts.
Job Description:
- Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability.
- Design group policies and access control lists to ensure compatibility with organizational standards, business rules, and needs.
- Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures.
- Maintain baseline system security according to organizational policies.
- Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
- Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures.
- Install, update, and troubleshoot systems/servers.
- Check system hardware availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency.
- Comply with organization systems administration standard operating procedures.
- Manage system/server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
- Monitor and maintain system/server configuration.
- Oversee installation, implementation, configuration, and support of system components.
- Diagnose faulty system/server hardware.
- Perform repairs on faulty system/server hardware.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
Requirements:
- Education:
- An Associate’s degree in a technical field and 10-15 years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5-10 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in a technical field and 2-5 years of related experience.
- Requires demonstrated in-depth knowledge and skills in a technical specialty.
- Technical Field Experience weighted greater than minimum education.
- Skills and Experience:
- Shall require documented experience utilizing Splunk ES and performing cybersecurity Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) related work role.
- Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Individual shall hold and maintain a personnel security clearance greater than or equal to: DOE L or DoD Secret; the preferred personnel clearance is an active DOE Q or DoD TS with CNWDI.
