As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for improving system stability, performance, and security while continuously monitoring system health and troubleshooting issues. You will manage the Linux environment and provide backup support for Windows System Administrators. Your duties will include administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting VMware systems, hosting hardware, Linux servers, and Windows servers to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the enterprise infrastructure. This position requires a local candidate with experience in both Linux and Windows server administration, who can support the stability and performance of critical enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer Linux systems administration solutions for project and operational needs.
- Administer various flavors of Linux including CentOS, RHEL, and Oracle Enterprise Linux.
- Install and configure Linux servers and associated applications.
- Maintain current system documentation and contribute to system standards.
- Provide Tier III support and troubleshoot issues as requested.
- Administer and troubleshoot Virtual Centre systems.
- Administer Windows Server systems, ensuring proper configuration and operation.
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral forms, including maintaining thorough documentation.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly, updating administrative tools and utilities.
- Upgrade and configure system software to support infrastructure and application needs.
- Perform performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
- Provide backup support to Senior Windows Engineer and Storage and Virtualization Engineer as needed.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Proficiency in various Linux distributions, including CentOS, RHEL, and Oracle Enterprise Linux.
- Strong experience with Linux server installation, configuration, and administration.
- Experience with Virtual Centre administration and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in Windows Server administration.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to perform system upgrades, apply patches, and configure services.
- Experience with system performance tuning and hardware optimization.
- Backup support experience for virtual and storage infrastructure.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
