Position is in support of the Integrated Warfare Systems (IWS 1) Ship Integration Branch located at the Washington Navy Yard, Washington D.C. Ship Integration is responsible for the physical design, installation, test and maintenance from concept development throughout a ship’s lifecycle of warfare systems and ship’s systems to build and maintain war ready assets.

Experience Required:This position requires 10+ years uniformed Navy experience with the Aegis Combat Systems as a senior enlisted or Limited Duty/Chief Warrant Officer in a maintenance or operations role. A formal degree supporting systems engineering, software engineering or significant analysis experience would be a plus but not required.

Description of Duties:Conduct research and analyses of existing and future Navy Combat Systems equipment, computer baselines and support equipment. Conduct technical reviews and provide feedback on system Top Level Requirements, Specifications, System Design Documents, drawings and test plans. Work closely with senior technical and project managers in developing and executing technical activities related to all existing and future Combat Systems. Develop White Papers, briefings and related documentation in support of technical and programmatic tasking and reviews.

Travel routinely related to this position is regional and infrequent, but the applicant must be able and willing to travel in support of tasking. Applicant must also be willing and able to get underway, if required, in support of tasking.
