What does a Systems Engineer - Expert Level do?
As an Expert Level Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, you will spearhead multi-discipline initiatives encompassing requirements engineering, solutions development, and reliability assurance across diverse architectures within the NSG and DoD/IC. Your primary duties include creating strategic roadmaps to bridge potential gaps while managing costs, ensuring effective cross-domain integration with mission partners and industry leaders for successful KPMO technology program execution. You will manage the comprehensive transition process of KPMO systems, collaborating with end users to develop use cases tailored to various security levels. By maintaining awareness of external system tests and their implications on PMO systems, you will uphold technical excellence in all mission areas.
Additionally, you will lead studies to innovate technologies, define CONOPs, and develop critical Testing & Evaluation (T&E) plans, ensuring optimization and accuracy in GEOINT delivery while enhancing the overall impact of KPMO initiatives.

Proficiency in developing strategic roadmaps and assessing feasibility across diverse architectures will enhance your ability to manage the KPMO system transition process effectively.
Moreover, the capacity to define and validate use cases, alongside evaluating algorithms, will be vital in ensuring technical excellence. Finally, a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation planning will empower you to contribute meaningfully to the success of KPMO initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience:
- TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering + 18 years of experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering + 10 years of experience in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics and mathematics
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) with RADAR and RF processing and for SSA
- Defining, designing and developing (SSA) applications.
- Space situational awareness, space-based sensors, and threat analysis (paraphrased like PD24).
- Space enterprise information needs (comprehensive, historical and indexed appropriately for down-stream tools), including space object observations, historical behavior and the relevant context of that behavior.
- Threats including SOSI, Radar and Optical sensors, Command and Control (C2), Offensive Space Control/Defensive Space Control (OSC/DSC).
- Dealing with data and data sources that exist at multiple classification levels and integrate that data with computational processes that will generate additional data at multiple classification levels.
- Employing security controls to protect assets, missions and data from multiple classification levels.
- Compliance to Integrated Protection Strategy (IPS) controls and data management procedures.
- Space environment and space to ground including threats to assets; track de-confliction of SSA and imaging windows with ground targets, understanding support of GEOINT Assurance.
- Employing analytics and quantifiable physics-based metric models in a timely manner.
- Development or operational use of any of the following SSA, space, I&W tools or tools with similar functions.
- Data fusion models that assess confidence in data accumulated and aggregated across multiple modalities and domains.
- Physics models to include the assessment of conservative/non-conservative forces, uncertainty/confidence estimation, weather effects, break-up events and conjunction analysis techniques that scale to many-on-many objects and can be dynamically tasked.
- Space object measurement and identification.
- Supporting SAO and related architectures.
- Implementing Spatial Temporal (4D) modeling, simulation, visualization and tasking services, analytical and exploitation tools and integrated security services.
- Fusing data.
- Multiple data collection techniques and an in-depth understanding of GEOINT phenomenology.
- Software development frameworks, photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics or related fields.

- Demonstrated experience with:
- Commercial visualization tools such as RemoteView, ENVI, MATLAB and SOCET GXP and the following standards:
