About the Job
What Youll Do:
Collaborate with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB and C++ models of weapons, sensors, ground systems and environments, guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms and actual Operational Flight Program code into the 6-Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS).
Perform modeling and simulation tasks for system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), trade studies and simulation analyses for end-to-end kill chain assessment
Use the simulations to support Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) Lab to verify performance requirements are met.
Support integration and testing of hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL).
Participate in flight test prediction and data performance analysis for flight tests
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Field or Physics
Proficient in C++
FORTRAN experience with 6-Degree of Freedom simulation
Experience in Aerospace Applications
Desired skills:
Proficient in C++ and MATLAB and/or Python
Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment
Ability to occasionally travel for up to two weeks at a time to support flight tests
Experience integrating and testing hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL)
Familiarity with some, or all, of the following: linear algebra, probability and statistics, state dynamic equations, Kalman filter applications, kinematics, and rotating coordinate systems.
Active Secret clearance required to start
Core hours of First Shift schedule: Monday through Thursday from 9am-3pm CST.
