What does a Systems Engineer - Mid Level do?
As a Mid-Level Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, you'll take a multi-disciplinary approach to crucial tasks including requirements engineering, solutions engineering, and systems integration across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) and Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG). Your responsibilities will involve conducting in-depth planning, traceability of user requirements, and analyzing existing systems to enhance workflows and automation. You will also develop innovative solutions based on new technologies while mentoring junior engineers to cultivate their skills. Supporting the government in capturing and translating mission requirements into actionable systems capabilities, you'll dive into strategic planning, performance engineering, and risk management. This position is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of GEOINT, contributing to high-impact projects that enhance operational efficiency and reliability for federal agencies.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent Mid level experience as a Systems Engineer.
- Mid-level working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
- Mid-level working system engineering experience in government or industry.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
- Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
- INCOSE Associate System Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
- Documented work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
- Membership or active participation in any of the following professional organizations:
- ACSM
- ASCE
- ASPRS
- OGC
- SAREM
- USGIF
- Working knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
