Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead and provide technical expertise on enterprise-wide infrastructure projects. This role will focus on the architecture, design, implementation, and administration of both on-premises and cloud-based systems.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, engineer, and implement infrastructure solutions across various platforms, including cloud environments like AWS and GCP.
- Design and deploy systems based on technical requirements, serving as a key technical contact for virtualization technologies and systems administration.
- Create high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) design documentation for project hand-offs.
- Manage internal systems, applications, and virtual environments, utilizing tools for monitoring and analysis.
- Facilitate communication between business and technology teams, providing clear guidance and support.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and deliver in-depth technical insights as a Tier 3 resource.
- Develop and implement standard processes to enhance product reliability and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate within a team to innovate and design next-generation data center solutions focusing on performance and security.
- Prepare and present materials on proposed solutions to stakeholders.
- Provide operational guidance and assist with deployment activities.
- Identify and manage risks associated with assigned platforms.
- Contribute to automation, monitoring, and recovery services within an Agile environment.
- Act as a resource for leadership and operational teams, with other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. or equivalent experience in Information Technology or Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in designing and supporting enterprise-level networks across multiple vendors and platforms.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage business requirements effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to client service principles and a proactive approach to projects.
Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience with VMware vSphere and Horizon.
- Proficiency in configuring and supporting Office 365 environments.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with SAN, storage systems, and VMware infrastructure.
- Knowledge of security architecture and layered security technologies.
- Familiarity with network technologies and firewall systems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., VCDX, VCAP, VCP) are desirable.
- Experience with Linux systems is a plus.
