About the Job
RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
- Design Hydraulic and Hydro-Electric Systems for TowHaul’s Products
- Design Air/Hydraulic and Electric/Hydraulic Braking Systems for TowHaul’s Products
- Design Brake Cooling Systems for TowHaul’s Products
- Design Electrical Systems for the Control of Hydro-Electric, Braking, and Brake Cooling Systems, as well as Lighting and other electrical functions for TowHaul’s Products
- Design and Program Controls for the above systems
- Design and Program the HMI’s (Control Screens) for the above systems
- Document the control and screen programs of the above systems
- Board test the control and screen programs of the above systems
- Bench and field test the control and screen programs of the above systems
- Use solid modeling software (SolidWorks) to locate all system components in structural models and determine routing of wiring, hoses, and tubes
- Develop production drawings for the location of these component mountings
- Develop parts and operator manual models, drawings, and Bills of Materials
- Compile bills of materials for issuing/charging, and assembly; and long-lead items lists
- Develop parts and operator manual system control descriptions
- Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving assistance to service technicians and customers
- Provide assistance to sales in estimating system component requirements
- Monitor remote (Telematic) data as needed to ascertain system performance and problems
- Assist with improvements in documentation methods and procedures
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proficiency with design (3D CAD) software, general inventory software and standard Microsoft programs
- Willingness to learn new methods and applications
- Proven team player with excellent attitude and work ethic
- 5+ years of progressive experience designing hydraulic, electrical or pneumatic systems and controls
DESIRED SKILLS
- Working familiarity with control programming methods and software
- Working familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical controls
- Experience with Solidworks Electrical
EDUCATION
- Engineering degree – B.S. Mechanical, Electro-mechanical, or other appropriate degree.

- Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however can be severe and caution shall be executed with the use of PPE as required when working in the fabrication shop. The noise level when working in the office will be minimal.
