About the Job
The Medical Assistant will join a busy Family Medicine Clinic.
Job Duties Include: Prepare patients for treatment. Assist physicians or other healthcare team members with treatment. Intake patients and record vitals in electronic medical records (EMR). Perform various clerical and lab duties, which include: completing patient forms, updating ICD-10 codes in EMR, completing medication prior authorizations, and refilling prescriptions under physicians' guidance.
Salary Range: %2415.00 - %2418.00
LOCATED IN HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA.
High School diploma or GED required. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
Preferred:
- Hard Skills: Previous Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient medical clinic with a wide age range of patients; experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Soft Skills: Team player; ability to multitask; attention to detail; work well under pressure.
