About the Job
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Ped - Gastroenterology, Hepatology, & Nutrition, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I. This position will provide clinical research coordination for pediatric clinical trials within the pediatric clinical trials office, (CTO).
General Responsibilities
- To serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.
- To support screening and participant eligibility determination, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.
- To conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- To assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow-up with participants, scheduling visits and assisting in coordination of lab and fieldwork.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collects and records data for clinical trial participants including completion of case report forms (CRFs).
- Assists with enrollment of participants on trials and determination of eligibility.
- Assists in coordination of required observations on study including lab work.
- Coordinates collection and participates in processing and shipment of patient samples related to study activities.
- Performs general clerical duties (faxing, scanning, routing messages, coordinating the purchase of study supplies/ materials.
- Prepares study records to ensure compliance with sponsor and regulatory requirements.
- Assists in preparation for and participates in site monitoring visits and audit activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range:%2443,890 - %2471,320
High School diploma or GED required.
