BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As a Technical Program Associate on the SDIT team you will work with technical teams to create software solutions that use prevailing technologies and improve the customers’ experience while adhering to business and technical requirements. You will design and develop specific software subsystems under the guidance of senior software engineers. You will understand and code basic features, functions and definitions; write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards under the supervision of senior developers; implement pre-designed solutions as instructed by team leads following best practices and approved code patterns; implement basic functionality based on a provided design with team guidance; understand technical requirements and technical design documents; utilize code branching strategies and change control methodologies; code as per the Charter standards and guidelines; assist in fixes to defects raised; complete assigned tasks within a given timeframe; test and validate your own code; submit code for code review and apply feedback; provide LOEs on a capability level; collaborate with other teams, within a feature team, and/or a focus group; adhere to legal, regulatory, process, and security requirements of their organization.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- Information Technology experience gained through work experience or practicum training
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Engineering required, or combination of required work experience and education
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge and ability to code, test, manipulate data, and develop solutions for applications/software.
- Basic knowledge and ability to code in Java or a similar object-oriented programming language
- Basic knowledge and ability to code in Javascript or a similar scripting programming language
- Basic Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
- Basic Knowledge of elements within rotational program
- Basic knowledge of project management skills and process mindset
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Effective ability to present, communicate, and influence others of varying skills and abilities.
- Basic ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment to effectively meet deadlines and projects by using appropriate methodology and tools
- Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to work across functional and organizational lines with uncompromising ethics
- Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to independently assess situations and respond accordingly
- Ability to deal with complexity and manage ambiguity

- This position is eligible to work in a ahybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote days)

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internships completed in Information Technology or MIS
