Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced HR Compensation Specialist to work with a large healthcare organization in Raleigh. This is TEMP ONLY! Approx. 2 to 3 months.
Pay: $30-$35hour
SUMMARY
The Compensation Specialist reports to the Compensation Manager and provides operational and technical support for all compensation programs. This entails creating strong business partnerships through collaboration with management and assisting with salary programs, market analyses, merit planning, internal equity reviews, salary range evaluation and job description creation.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports the Compensation Manager, with all compensation programs, including the job evaluation system, internal equity analyses, job description reviews and market analyses
Works with the recruiting team to establish and negotiate offers, collaborate with hiring managers and navigate HRIS system workflows and inputs
Actively trains and educates the HR team, management and employees on compensation programming.
Partners with the HRIS Analyst and Payroll Manager to coordinate functionality within Workday as it pertains to compensation programs
Partners with the Compensation Manager to roll-out the Annual Merit Review Process
Works closely with HR Business Partners and Line Managers in the compensation area
Designs and prepares ad hoc compensation and budget-related reports for management
Assists in the preparation of Contracts and Employment Agreements
Maintains a database of all Contractual Review Dates
Maintains salary ranges, evaluates exemption status, and evaluates all offers in conjunction with the Compensation Manager
Participates in salary surveys, and analyzes data from survey sources to determine competitiveness both internally and externally
Prices new jobs utilizing salary surveys
Interprets relevant data and helps implement compensation strategies
Answers compensation inquiries in a timely manner and creates effective business partnerships
Ensures adherence to established organizational policies
Analyzes wage and salary practices to maintain competitiveness in the marketplace
Provides excellent customer service to all employees
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in a related field
Minimum of three (3) years experience working in Compensation, including compensation reporting and modeling
Strong technological aptitude with expert Excel skills
Ability to work with a sense of urgency, tight deadlines and a strong attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven customer service, organizational and team collaboration skills
Must be willing to perform administrative and other duties as necessary
