Position Summary:
The Production Lead reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager or Supervisor. A Production Lead is responsible for supervising, controlling, scheduling and coordinating work flow on the manufacturing in order to meet quality and delivery commitments as set forth by the Company. The Production Lead may perform a variety of tasks in accordance with their training, experience, and skill.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
These tasks are performed in accordance with engineering instructions, company standard operating procedures, professional trainings, customer requirements, and individual experience. Overtime may be required.
Qualifications Required/Job Specifications:
Available to work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsi bilities and tasks. Must be available (especially during regular business hours or shifts) to communicate with supervisors, customers, vendors, and any other person or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish work and goals.

The Production Lead may perform a variety of tasks in accordance with their training, experience, and skill.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Working with production, maintaining production schedule based on build capacity
- Working with production control, establishing production schedule based on clear to build dates
- Working with clear to build schedule to level load work centers in manufacturing plant
- Manipulating/maintaining schedule as needed to accommodate customer delivery and new proposal of re-commit dates
- Making decisions and solving problems analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
- Training needs identification in coordination with Manufacturing Mgr
- Provides work assignments
- Provides and executes delivery commitments
- Work with Industrial Engineer on lean project identification and implementation
- Drive initiatives on 5S deployment on the line
- Making sure that the safety, quality and delivery requirements are met and drive daily meetings with the team
- First escalation point for manufacturing issues
- Interface with external departments (engineering, doc control, materials, quality) on mfg related processes / issues
- Need to drive team to follow the traceability requirements of the assemblies
- Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Qualifications Required/Job Specifications:
- 6+ years in electronics manufacturing, preferably in a high mix environment
- Possess at least High School degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to use common sense to solve practical problems.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Experience managing employees
- Experience managing customer commit process
- Experience supporting Quality Management Systems (ISO), Lean and Customer Satisfaction
- Experience with root cause analysis, problem solving, decision making and project management
- Knowledge of ISO procedures and the ability to maintain quality records and execute ISO activities
- Proficient with PC-based software including SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
- Knowledge and understanding of calibration processes, activities and schedules
- Strong, effective organizational skills required; detail oriented; ability to multitask.
- Possess excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form
- Ability to read, and interpret engineering instructions, schematics, technical procedures, and various reports
- Ability to keep accurate documentation
- Possess a high level of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees;
- Maintain courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
- Must be self-directed, dependable, and motivated with excellent relationship and time management skills.
- This may include odd hour teleconferences with global facilities.
