Performs layout, assembly, install and repairs various types of piping systems using TIG welding and machines. Installs these systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes. Performs testing of installed systems.

Essential Duties:- Selects type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications, knowledge of system operation, and study of building plans / working drawings. Meets and maintains quality and production standards for all work product.
- Sets up equipment and weld parts using TIG welding and machines. Secures pipes to structure with clamps, brackets, and hangers, using hand tools. Works with various equiptment specific for TIG welding.
- Maintains the work area in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations (should support implementation of 6S). Maintains required personal tools, and properly uses all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
- Ensures proper recording of time spent on individual work orders is accurate. Keeps the foreman and other key project personnel aware of all issues affecting production, schedule and cost. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the foreman. Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunction, and performs operator based maintenance as required.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- 4+ years of experience as a Journeyman Welder preferred.
- Must be certified to weld using material types such as stainless and aluminum (Level II).
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Detail oriented with good organization skills and proven ability to initiate priorities based on general guidelines.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards.
