About the Job
Local client seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team in Grove City. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and a strong understanding of TIG welding techniques. We seek a detail-oriented individual dedicated to safety and committed to delivering high-quality work.
- Shift: Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with overtime on Fridays.
- Pay: $19 to $22 per hour, depending on experience.
Main Responsibilities:
- Weld using TIG (GTAW) techniques in all positions.
- Set up and adjusted welding machines and managed gas bottles and fittings.
- Weld stainless steel and aluminum, and perform vertical, horizontal, and overhead welding.
- Inspect welds for defects like cracks and spatter.
- Weld mild steel and aluminum when needed.
- Clean work areas and grind as required.
- Keep up with maintenance on machines and make basic adjustments.
- Follow safety procedures for hazardous waste and fire prevention.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean.
- Ensure storage containers are closed unless adding or removing waste.
- Understand the Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan and know spill response and evacuation procedures.
Experience and Education:
- Must understand how to operate TIG welding machines.
- Must have mechanical skills and know how to use a tape measure.
