About the Job
Major/Essential Functions
The Hope Group, led by Dr. Qingwang (Kevin) Yuan at Texas Tech University, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the research of natural hydrogen systems. Responsibilities include characterizing potential natural hydrogen system, assisting PhD students on hydrogen research, helping Pis manage research projects, and exploring new research topics. Candidates should possess a PhD in STEM with expertise in one or more areas in natural hydrogen, geophysics, geochemistry, fluid flow, or fracturing. Preference will be given to those with prior experience in natural or stimulated hydrogen generation and a proven track record of high-quality publications.Analyze data from field and develop models needed.
Interpret the results and publish high-quality publications.
Plan and perform Post Doctoral research on natural hydrogen systems.
Excellent writing skills.
The Postdoc candidate is expected to characterize potential natural hydrogen systems, analyze and interpret data from field and/or lab experiments, and publish high-quality peer-reviewed journal papers and conference proceedings.

The supervisors will provide support on discussing the research, exploring new research ideas, as well as the Postdoc career development.

Required Qualifications
PhD in area of project specialization. Knowledge of modern research practices, the methods, resources, and standards thereof. Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities. Ability to integrate resources, policies, and information for the determination of procedures, solutions and other outcomes. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with other employees and the public. Ability to plan and allocate the workload of employees, providing direct training and supervision as needed.
