About the Job
Major/Essential Functions
1. Research and Analysis:- Apply expertise in Machine Learning, Scientific Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, Pattern Recognition, Multi-scale Simulations, and Statistical Sampling to advance research projects.
- Conduct molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations of biomolecular systems.
- Perform force field parameterization and enhanced sampling free energy calculations (e.g., free energy perturbation, umbrella sampling, metadynamics).
- Utilize quantum mechanical calculations (DFT, QM/MM) to support research objectives.
- Work closely with researchers at the Human Molecular Aging Center to address mathematical modeling and analysis challenges related to biological systems.
- Engage in collaborative problem-solving and interdisciplinary research efforts.
- Participate in professional development, mentoring and training opportunities.
- Contribute to cutting-edge research projects, including grant writing and research dissemination.
- Engage in collaborative learning and sharing of research findings.

Required Qualifications
PhD in area of project specialization. Knowledge of modern research practices, the methods, resources, and standards thereof. Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities. Ability to integrate resources, policies, and information for the determination of procedures, solutions and other outcomes. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with other employees and the public. Ability to plan and allocate the workload of employees, providing direct training and supervision as needed.
